Winter 2014-2015

December 2014 started out with some fun caroling at Amber's school.  We braved the cold and sang Christmas songs in the Todd School neighborhood and then enjoyed some chili dogs and hot chocolate afterwards.

After Caroling

That next Saturday we had London's Frozen Themed 2nd Birthday party.  It was a great day celebrating with friends and family!

London dressed as Anna from Frozen is all ready for her party.

Opening presents.  Singing Elsa from Mema was a favorite.

Pure happiness!

Kissing Olaf.  A gift from Brooklynn.

Frozen themed cake from Auntie Shell.

Blowing out the candle with a little help from Mommy and Daddy.

That next week Amber had her 1st and 3rd Grade Concerts.  The kids did a great job after all of their hard work and London was very excited to see Santa Claus and hear the great singing!

The next weekend Michelle came to watch London so Amber and John could go to Amber's Staff Christmas Party.  The next day we all went to William's Tree Farm in Rockton, IL to visit some animals, see Santa and take a wagon ride.  We also bought a wreath to hang on our door since we have a very nice fake tree that we use.  It was a chilly but fun morning!  The next day we went to the Rotary Gardens in Janesville to see the light show.  It was wonderful!

Soon after Festivus, Christmas and New Years was here.  We went to Stevens Point to celebrate Festivus with friends and members of John's Trivia Team and then headed over to Appleton to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Amber's family.  We then went up to Crivitz for more Christmas celebrating with a short stop at Lambeau Field to admire the new pro shop.

We headed home for a few days and accomplished some projects around the house including reorganizing our basement storage area and making a small workout room downstairs.  We had a very subdued New Years Eve at home with a yummy meal, some drinks and a movie.

After New Years we headed to Chicago to visit with John's family, celebrate John's Gram's 92nd Birthday and attend a baby shower for his cousins Jimmy and Jen.

The first week back from vacation was a bit odd because Amber stayed home the Monday after vacation to take care of John who was very sick and London who needed to be kept away from John so she wouldn't get sick.  That week there were also two snow/cold temperature days so we all got to hang out and snuggle even more that week!

On January 10th, 2015 we took London to her first movie in the theatre.  They were playing a special showing of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" in Milwaukee so we went and London had a great time.  She dressed up in her "Belle" dress and brought her Belle Barbie Doll and Belle Little People Doll along.  She loved the movie and the popcorn.

That same day we went to Aidan's 1st Birthday Party.  London had fun playing with Aidan's slide and mini ball pit and made some new friends to play with.  We enjoyed catching up with friends and seeing Aidan excited to open his presents and eat his cake.

The next day we had a Packer Playoff Party at Amy and Drew's house here in Janesville.  The Packers won and headed to the NFC Championship Game the next weekend.

Happy Packer victory from the Okray Family!

The next weekend Amber and London went up to Appleton to visit family.  Although it was a fun visit it was a sad day when the Packers lost to the Seahawks!

The next weekend we took London for her very first official haircut.  She had a few trims from Mema Betty, but nothing else.  She did a great job!  She had a sucker and watched "The Jungle Book" on the iPad and looked so grown up when she was finished.  We headed to Culver's to celebrate with lunch and some ice cream!  That same night London and Auntie Shell had a girls night while Amber and John went to the Glen Erin Christmas Party.

Even though we were still very sad that the Packers were not in the Superbowl we had some friends over for a Superbowl party and it was a very fun game to watch because it was so close.

Playing with the bubble machine on Superbowl Sunday.

Heading downstairs to watch the game.

Remembering that the Packers aren't playing and being very sad :(

The next weekend we traveled to Warrens, WI to go to the Three Bears Resort where we met the Becker's, the Martin's and the Beeman's to spend the weekend in a cabin and have fun at the indoor water park swimming.  We had a great time catching up, letting the kids play and swimming at the water park.  We are already planning next years get away!

Breakfast time at the cabin.

London loved the waterpark!

London and John loved going down the big slide together.

All our kiddos ranging from 1 year to 3 1/2 years old.

London was exhausted from the weekend and fell asleep within minutes!

The last few weeks have been pretty low key for us.  We celebrated Lambeau's 10th Birthday with giving him some extra treats.  Auntie Shell came to spend some time in Janesville and watched London while John and Amber went out for a fancy Valentine's Day dinner and last week we had an 80's Dance at Amber's school where London danced like a crazy girl and fell in love with the The Chicken Dance.  Last Saturday John and Amber went bowling and out for pizza with some friends.

Happy Birthday Buddy!

London's pretty nails after Auntie Shell painted them.

We're ready for winter to be over and for spring to begin.  John is exited to be working a few days during the month of March and hopefully by April the golf course will be in full swing!

Until we write again...Go Pack Go!
